SUNDAY COMMUNION SERVICE AT POLESWORTH ABBEY click for details

Sunday Communion Service at 10.00 am each week

Since Sunday 14th June the Abbey has been open “for Individual Prayer” now we are able to have Holy Communion again.  Like me, I know that you’ll be pleased. But it’s really important to say that everyone needs to be safe and no one should feel any pressure to venture out and risk getting sick.  Anyone coming to the Abbey will be asked to sanitize hands both before entering and on exiting.

The Lady Chapel will continue to be available for lighting candles.   Social distancing is really important and everyone will understand that the Refectory and Garden aren’t accessible yet.

Abbey normally open: 8.00 am - 9.00 am; 11.00 am - 4.00 pm; and 5.30 pm -6.30 pm

SUNDAY COMMUNION SERVICE @ 10.00 am

Strictly Social Distancing. Stewards will show you to your seat.

Abbey Service also available on You Tube Polesworth Abbey

Services — ‘streamed’, on line, and DVD recordings

Social Distancing and isolation are going to continue for a while and some are at risk and need to be sheilding.  The Abbey services can be heard on-line or you can ask for a DVD.   The Abbey has been fortunate to now be able to to record and ‘live stream’ services.

Sunday services are available on DVD and can be delivered to peoples’ doors (usually on Saturdays) and these include hymns and service music from archive recordings made in previous years, and the ‘live’ service for the day. This service can be seen on the Abbey Website and on You Tube (look for You Tube Polesworth Abbey). If you want a DVD please let me know.

In future: all services including weddings and baptisms and funerals will be available ‘live streamed’ so that those who can’t be at the Abbey can watch. It will also be possible to make a recording if that’s needed too. The equipment to do this has been kindly donated to the Abbey together with the technical assistance to make it work.
