Polesworth Abbey Refectory is available for use by community groups and individuals. The new entrance between the Abbey Church and the Refectory was built in 2005 and provides a welcome desk, access to the Refectory and to the Abbey. There are ample toilets for visitors and an up to date disabled toilet too.
The Refectory is part of a sixteenth century hall and was refurbished in September 2005.
The Refectory is wood paneled and there is an historic Elizabethan fireplace. The refurbishment has provided a kitchenette, suitable for providing hot drinks.
Boiling water is available and there is a fridge and dishwasher built in. There are cups and saucers for 100 people.
The Abbey welcomes groups and individuals who would like to use the Refectory for meetings, rehearsals, Wedding anniversary receptions, Educational activities, presentations and exhibitions, and funeral gatherings. The usual hire charge for the Refectory is £8.00/ hour or £25.00 for a 3 hour session.
A 10% discount is available for regular users.
