Polesworth

With a community of just under 8,500, Polesworth is a large village in North Warwickshire. The name Polesworth is derived from Old English "pol" meaning a "pool" and "worth" meaning "a dwelling" or enclosure.

Well provided with shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities, Polesworth also has excellent communications links. It is close to the M42 motorway and the A5 trunk road and it's railway station is on the West Coast Main Line.

It is also adjacent to the Coventry Canal, and there are excellent moorings between Bridges 54 and 55. Simply walk across the park to access the services and Polesworth Abbey.

Walkers following the Heart of England Way will find Polesworth an ideal stopping off point close by their route. Take a circular walk along the canal and over the common to take in the best of the local sites.
