Messy Abbey

  • is a way of being church for families involving fun
  • is a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour
  • is found across the world
  • values are about being Christ-centred, for all ages, based on creativity, hospitality and celebration

Messy Church is a different way of 'being church'. From humble beginnings in a single church in Portsmouth in 2004, Messy Church growth has far surpassed all expectations. There are now over 3000 Messy Churches registered in more than 20 different countries - and that's just the ones we know about. We estimate that over 500,000 people attend a Messy Church each month.
